BACKGROUND
The developer appointed our client Vital Energi to deliver the energy centre plant room for this prestigious development. There were very specific emissions and acoustic performance targets that had to be met regarding the proposed CHP instalation, whilst working within the constraints of a basement plant room, far below street level, with limited access.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Shenton Group engaged with Vital Energi to address in detail every aspect of the 150kWe CHP as set out in the specification. By working closely with Vital Energi throughout the design and implementation of the project, we delivered a number of solutions that enabled them to meet the specification within the bounds of a very tight budget.
OUTCOME
We designed a bespoke 150kWe CHP with special provisions for ventilation, emissions, and acoustics. The unit was to be positioned into the basement plant room, which involved a complex cranage lift and shift plan. Shenton Group’s scope of supply also included the gas and heat metres, G59 relay and remote monitoring module.
Our dedicated project manager provided significant support throughout the project, ensuring that all deadline and design requirements were achieved. They also oversaw the G59 application and witness testing process. Finally, the complete installation was commissioned in collaboration with our client and all parties on site.

We supported Vital Energy in a number of areas on this project and have built a good relationship with their team. They were pleased with the end result.
