A global biopharmaceutical company, based in the north west of the UK, was expanding due to the increase in demand for pharmaceutical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further manufacturing and cold storage were required on-site, and temporary power was needed for this expansion.
Project Overview
Shenton Group was tasked with supplying temporary backup generators, specifically to support temporary refrigeration needs, in an N+1 configuration. In this setup, one generator is synchronised with another backup generator to ensure in the rare case of component failure, there is a backup generator that automatically activates and reinstates the power supply within minutes. This solution offered added resilience and peace of mind for the client, especially as this was a long-term generator hire which spanned 7 months, from November 2022 to June 2023, a time that the medical industries across the globe were pushed to the limits and pharmaceutical supplies in high demand.
